The new video game is about professional wrestling and covers all the tricks of the trade-in vicious competition. WWE 2K Battlegrounds is the eighth contender in this brilliantly unique series.

WWE Inc. stands for World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. and is an American integrated media and entertainment company now spread out worldwide. Branching out into Movies, TV, Publishing, Football, Games, etc. from its original staging and coverage of Professional Wrestling, WWE is an International Legend in this field. Developed by Saber Interactive, the Video Game is published by 2K Games and Sports and is basically a WWE 2K20 spin-off. It is the 8th Game after the WWE 2K banner. The earliest was WWE All-Stars, which first appeared in 2011. This game is now scheduled to release on Sep 18th, 2020. Incidentally, WWE 2K21 was earlier canceled for release in 2020, due to adverse reactions by the gaming public to the release of WWE 2K20, as well as the widespread Lockdown and other medical actions due to the Covid19 Pandemic earlier this year (still ongoing). The Platforms are Google Stadia, Xbox One, PS 4, Microsoft Windows, and Nintendo Switch. The Genre is Sports, Action. The Mode is Single Player and/or Multi-Player. The Price of this Game is planned to be US$39.99 only, and there are add-ons like being able to unlock the Hall of Fame included at this price. But it must be noted that there are as yet no plans announced for Mobile phone play for this Game, though Android and iOS are a distinct possibility later.
The New Features
The previous version, WWE 2K20, was roundly bashed by critics and players alike for being rendered almost unplayable by bugs. Reviewers fiercely criticized the targeting, change in controls, physics, and graphics of the earlier Game, leading to very poor performance in the hustings, meaning, and the sales department. But 2K announced WWE 2K Battlegrounds on April 27, 2020, as a spin-off of the Series. And therein hangs the tale.

The new release has been carefully vetted, and all possible bugs removed, all angles reviewed/replaced thoroughly wherever necessary. The WWE writer Justin Leeper pointed out that even the Executive Producer would be changed, and be replaced by the almost legendary Patrick Gilmore, whose work on previous games like Disney’s Aladdin, Killer Instinct, Amazon’s New World, and Medal of Honor is still remembered fondly by the fans. This is obviously worth cheering about, as it is an early promise of high quality and innovation.
Superstars like Hulk Hogan, The Fiend” Bray Wyatt, and Jake “The Snake” Roberts are slated to feature in the base game, while some other top superstars like The Bogeyman and Doink the Clown as well as The Typhoon and Earthquake, are expected to light up the game as free content later.
