God of War Ragnarök is a new action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It is the sequel to 2018’s God of War and will continue the story of Kratos and his son Atreus as they confront Ragnarök’s Norse gods.
The game takes place three years after the events of the previous game, Kratos and Atreus now live in the Scandinavian land of Midgard. Their wives and mothers have not yet fully recovered from Faye’s loss and are still struggling to come to terms with her death.

Meanwhile, the Norse gods are becoming more and more aware of Kratos’ presence in their kingdom. They fear that it will bring about the end of the world, Ragnarök, and are determined to stop it.
Kratos and Atreus must once again journey to Midgard, this time to find a way to stop Ragnarök. Along the way, they’ll encounter new enemies, including the Norse god Thor, and must come to terms with their own past to save the future.

Here are some details of the game that have emerged so far:
The game will feature a new environment, the dwarf realm of Svartalfheim.
Players will be able to explore nine different realms in the game, including Midgard, Asgard, Jotunheim, and Helheim.
Kratos and Atreus will be joined by a new companion, Brok the Dwarf.
The game will feature a new combat system that will allow players to use Kratos’ Leviathan Ax and Atreus’ bow and arrows in new ways.
With Kratos and Atreus facing darker and more personal challenges, the game will have a more mature tone than the previous game.
God of War Ragnarök is scheduled to release for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9, 2022.
